The Quran, also spelled as Qur'an, is the holy book of Islam. It is considered by Muslims to be the literal word of God as revealed to the Prophet Muhammad through the Angel Gabriel over a period of approximately 23 years. The revelations were given in Arabic and later compiled into the form of a book, arranged into chapters called surahs, and verses known as ayahs.

Here are some key points about the Quran:

Revelation:Muslims believe that the Quran is the final and complete revelation of God, following previous scriptures like the Torah and the Bible. It is seen as the ultimate guidance for all aspects of life.

Structure:The Quran is divided into 114 surahs, which vary in length, and each surah is further divided into ayahs (verses). The chapters are not arranged chronologically but rather roughly by length, with the longest ones generally placed at the beginning.

Language:The original Quranic text is in classical Arabic. Muslims believe that the Quran cannot be truly translated, as the beauty and depth of the language are integral to the divine message.
