The Guided Frame feature utilizes AI and facial recognition, coupled with audio cues, high-contrast animations, and haptic feedback. This technology aids individuals who are blind or have low vision in capturing photos effectively. Initially introduced in 2022 with the Google Pixel 7, the feature was initially limited to the selfie camera. However, it has now been expanded to include the rear camera, recognizing various elements such as faces, pets, food, and objects.
The ad, directed by Adam Morse and narrated by the legendary musician Stevie Wonder, who is blind himself, seeks to tell the story from the perspective of the blind and low-vision community.
